Days elapse ever so quickly, and the passing of hours and years is indeed swift. Not too long ago, we were looking forward to one of the most magnificent acts of worship and most majestic of deeds that draw people closer to Allāh. We were looking forward to the most glorious days in this world – the Day of ʿArafah – as well as the Day of Īd al-Aḍḥā and Ayyām al-Naḥr - ‘the Days of Sacrifice.’
